The Imo State Police Command has confirmed the killing of notorious leader of a kidnap-armed robbery gang, known as Ezenwa Collins, a.k.a E-Money and the arrest of his members. E-Money was killed during a gun duel with the police at Atta in Ikeduru L.G.A of the state. The former police officer-turned armed robber, and two members of his gang were shot dead by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) during a robbery operation in Imo State on Saturday, January 27. A three-year-old boy and three others were killed yesterday when a containerised trailer lost its truckhead on Kara Bridge  on the Lagos-Ibadan Express way. The truckhead plunged into the nearby river, while the container fell on a motorcycle on which the boy and her mother were riding. The woman and the motorcyclist are lying critically ill in hospital. The remaining part of the truck crashed into the road median, causing traffic gridlock for hours. The traffic stretched from Kara to Ogudu on the Third Mainland Bridge. "Despite this painful injury he insisted on keeping his commitment to his fans and he toured for 53 dates with a fractured hip and, as he did, it worsened to a more serious injury. "On the day he died he was informed his hip had graduated to a full-on break and it is our feeling that the pain was simply unbearable and was the cause for his over use of medication," according to the statement from Dana Petty, his wife, and Adria Petty, his daughter. Armed robbers in the early hours of Sunday, stormed the Kwabenya District Police Headquarters, gunned down an officer on duty before freeing six of their colleagues in custody.
